Northfield 240 double cutterhead facer planer, with 30 HP TEFC motor on the lower head, and a 40HP TEFC motor on the top head; feed, variable speed with gear reducer; top platen 1 HP; knife grinder motor, 1/10 HP; central distance between cutterheads 56"; lower feed rolls, 4" solid steel, power driven sealed bearings; upper feed rolls, infeed 4" diameter, 2" milled ductile sections, 3/16" section yield, 3/4" roll yield, sealed bearings, outfeed; 4" solid steel, power driven with sealed bearings; table feed roller adjustment, independent control .001 to .100 feed speed, 25-100 lineal fpm.(higher or lower available in same ratio); chipbreaker, 2" sections concen- tric with head; pressure bar easily adjustable; concentric with head; recommend 2500 cm of air to operate machine (1400 cfm on top head and 1100 cfm on lower head). 12,500 lbs.
