Precision ground cast iron tables and fence; 12” wide spiral carbide insert cutterhead; cutterhead guard; magnetic controls and with the following features:
Table raising & lowering by convenient lever with locking knob to prevent accidental table movement. Accurate parallelogram design enables infeed table to travel in the same arc as the cutting circle, maintaining close uniform clearance between the table lip & cutterhead for the safest operation regardless of cutting depth. Large center mounted rack and pinion adjusted fence with quick setting stops at 45°, 90° and 135°. Noise reduction table lips on infeed & outfeed tables for quiet operation.
Large diameter spiral insert knife cutterhead, ground & balanced, with 30 x 12 x 1.5 mm two sided knives – 42 total knives. Spiral insert knife head runs quieter than a conventional straight knife head & provides a longer life of the cutting tools. Spring loaded adjusting safety guard moves only when work piece is being fed.

Description:
Stock # 1610082. The 8" Parallelogram Jointer with Helical cutterhead offers performance and value in a machine loaded with features. The cutterhead is a helical design with 54 four-sided knife inserts – these produce a superior finish and much quieter operation than conventional cutterheads, and the inserts do not require adjustment once installed. The Jointer has an extra long 82” bed for better work support and is equipped with an innovative single handwheel design that tilts the fence in and out with positive stops at +/-45 and 90 degrees. A non-mar insert in the fence contacts the table to avoid scratching the surface during adjustments. The parallelogram design keeps the table in close proximity to the cutterhead for improved finish and allows for a fast depth of cut adjustment. This design also insures the table remains perfectly parallel, even after years of heavy use. The 2 HP motor is totally enclosed in a heavy steel stand, providing plenty of power and stability for the most demanding jobs.
